Every order is paid for at checkout, before it is sent for fulfilment. These are the ways you can pay, and what happens to your details when you do.
What we accept
- Credit and debit cards. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and most cards issued on those networks. Processed by Stripe.
- PayPal. You sign in to your own PayPal account during checkout and confirm the payment there.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay. Shown automatically at checkout when your device and browser support them.
How your card details are handled
Card payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider. That is the highest level of certification in the payment card industry.
Your card number never reaches our servers. It is sent directly from your browser to Stripe over an encrypted connection, and we receive only a token that lets us take the payment. We could not read your full card number even if we wanted to.
If you choose to save a card for next time, the card itself is stored by Stripe, not by us. We keep only the token, the last four digits and the expiry date so you can recognise which card is which.
3-D Secure
Many cards require an extra verification step, shown as Verified by Visa, Mastercard Identity Check or a similar screen from your bank. If your bank asks for it, you will be redirected to confirm the payment before the order completes.
This step is controlled by your bank, not by us. If verification fails, the order will not go through and you will not be charged.
When you are charged
Your card is charged when you place the order, not when it ships. If an item turns out to be unavailable after you have paid, we refund it rather than holding your money against a future restock.
An authorisation hold may briefly appear on your statement for an order that did not complete. That is your bank reserving the funds, not a charge from us, and it clears on its own within a few business days.
Currency
Prices are shown in the currency you select on the site, and you are charged in that currency. Your bank may apply its own conversion or foreign transaction fee depending on where your card was issued. That fee comes from your bank and does not go to us.
Refunds
Refunds go back to the original payment method. We cannot redirect a refund to a different card or account, which is a rule set by the card networks rather than by us.
Once we process a refund it usually appears within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. See our Refund and Returns Policy for the full detail.
A payment failed
The most common causes are an expired card, a mistyped billing address, insufficient funds, or your bank blocking an international transaction. We only ever see a generic decline message, never the reason, so your bank is the fastest place to check.
If your payment keeps failing and your bank confirms nothing is wrong on their side, write to support@vaanis.com and we will help.
Security
The whole site runs over HTTPS and every payment page is encrypted in transit. We will never ask you for your full card number, PIN or online banking password by email, phone or chat. If you receive a message claiming to be from us and asking for any of those, it is not from us. Please forward it to support@vaanis.com.
